Comments This is an interesting article which provides an American perspective on what appears to be a distinctly Australian film. Americans have been flooded with films of this genre (coming-of-age), yet somehow, this author recognises the Australian variations on what otheriwse may be a considered 'tired' themes. The author recognises the way in which Duigan handles his characters, and where he directs audience identification.
Synopsis This article is a review published to coincide with the release of The Year My Voice Broke in the U.S.A. The author provides a brief synopsis, in addition to production information. Overall, the review is positive with praise given for the casting and direction.
