Dawson provides a scathing criticism of the state of the Queensland film industry. He Suggests that nothing has changed from the corrupt days of the Queensland Film Corporation. According to Dawson, the Pacific Film and Television Commission is a corporate network which panders to the desires of international (Hollywood) production companies, and offers little to the development of homegrown Queensland talent.
